I'm stumped, anybody have any suggestions? I'm not sure how to check the coil(s), or condenser, but they seem like they would be fine if it's sparkling from the plug wire? At any rate, I'm open to suggestions. But it still will not jump the spark gap in the plug, and has stopped doing the one solid spark to begin with. It'll even spark from the boot connector (where the ignition cable connects to the spark plug) if i connect it and ground it out. The thing i can't seem to understand is that it's throwing spark straight from the plug wire without the plug boot or plug connected. I went through the standard maintenance things (points, timing, kill switch, wiring, new plug, new boot, new ignition cable) and i still cannot get this little piggy to use her spark plug. I noticed that when i checked for spark originally that it was only one solid spark on the plug and then nothing after. Original 220 mm complete plug wire assembly that fits most Puch Maxi style mopeds with a single speed engine. I'm working on getting an old puch maxi up and on her feet again, and I'm having problems sorting out my spark issues.
